The vet told me to get this…
I took my kitty cat, Ozzy to the vet a week ago now and my vet told me I should invest in a laser toy for him. Monday thru Friday, our animals are seperated while my man and I are at work because we aren’t sure how the cat and dog will act unsupervised.
Ozzy has the whole bathroom to himself so thats where I set up the laser toy, it has a timer mode so he wont get overexerted too!
Definitely recommend if you have a cat and sometimes have to spend a few hours away 🥰❤️
I got this one off Amazon for $19.99!
Laser toys have become popular recommended products by veterinarians to help indoor cats maintain physical and mental stimulation. These toys project a small, moving laser beam that cats instinctively chase, encouraging exercise without requiring direct human interaction. The smart features of modern laser toys, such as random trajectory, motion activation, multiple speed settings, and automatic timers, ensure that cats remain engaged without overexertion. For example, a laser toy with a 1000 mAh USB rechargeable battery offers convenience and consistent use. Setting up such a toy in a cat-only space, like a bathroom, ensures that the cat can play safely, especially if there are concerns about unsupervised interactions with other pets such as dogs. The timer mode is essential to avoid overstimulation or fatigue, allowing cats short bursts of energetic play with rest intervals. Owners who work standard weekday hours often worry about their cat’s loneliness and inactivity. Laser toys provide a practical solution by keeping cats busy during those hours. Active play helps reduce stress, prevent obesity, and discourage destructive behaviors that sometimes arise from boredom. In addition, the low-noise operation commonly featured in these toys helps maintain a calm environment in the home. When choosing a laser toy, it is helpful to look for one that has good online reviews and offers adjustable settings to cater to your cat’s play style. Products available on platforms like Amazon, typically priced around $19.99, offer affordable options for pet owners to try. Integrating a laser toy into your cat’s routine is a vet-approved method to promote healthy exercise and mental wellness. It promotes interactive playtime even in your absence, helping your kitty stay happy and healthy. Just remember to always supervise initial play sessions and avoid shining the laser directly into your cat’s eyes for safety.
