Building a farmers chopper from junk mower and bike parts exemplifies how resourcefulness can lead to practical solutions. In my experience, starting such a project requires careful disassembly and assessment of your old machinery to identify reusable components such as the mower blade, bike frame, and wheels. Safety is paramount during the build, so wearing protective gear and ensuring all mechanical connections are secure will prevent injuries and machine malfunction. The advantage of using bike parts lies in their lightweight and versatile frame, which can enhance the maneuverability of the chopper in tight farm spaces. Meanwhile, mower blades provide an effective cutting element suitable for chopping crops or clearing brush. Combining these components creates a machine that not only serves a specific farming need but also showcases the ingenuity of upcycling. Additionally, maintaining and periodically lubricating moving parts can extend the lifespan of your homemade chopper. Such projects promote sustainability and encourage farmers to think creatively about managing farm resources efficiently.

Built this chopper from a $20 junk Walmart lawnmower and two Japanese bikes and I got a Harley seat and gas tank. The shifter is made from a Lovoi Jack handle and other friends gave me some parts as well.
