The hack shared here emphasizes using oils like cuticle oil, coconut oil, olive oil, or almond oil to gently loosen the adhesive bond under the lifted edges of the press-on nails. This natural method works well because oils penetrate and break down the glue without harsh chemicals. If you donโ€™t have oils handy, lotions or polish remover can be alternatives, but oils are preferred as theyโ€™re nourishing and less drying to the nails and surrounding skin. When applying, focus on the lifted sides or bottom edges of the nailsโ€”these spots allow easier entry for the oil. Rubbing the oil gently under the lifted part and patiently peeling the nail off saves you from forcibly pulling the press-ons, reducing risk of pain or nail surface damage. After lifting and removing the acrylic nail, lightly buffing with a nail file clears any remaining glue residue, helping your nails stay smooth and healthy-looking. Optionally, nail clippers can shorten overly long nails before removal for convenience and to avoid accidental injury. Incorporating this gentle oil-based removal method into your nail care routine is not only effective but also helps maintain the strength and natural beauty of your nails. Itโ€™s especially important for those who frequently use press-on or acrylic nails to prioritize safe practices. Additionally, consistently moisturizing cuticles and nails after removal supports nail health and prevents dryness or peeling. Remember, patience is key. Slowly easing off the nails rather than forcing them protects against unwanted damage and irritation. This simple, accessible hack ensures your nails remain strong and well-cared-for between manicures, promoting nail longevity and confidence in your manicure choices. By following these safe removal steps and embracing nourishing oils, you can enjoy the beauty of acrylic nails without compromising your natural nail health.
