For about the past 3 months, I was getting lash extension and while ya girl looked like a goddess, they were honestly annoying to keep up with and when they start to fall out- ooooWEEeee! Is it a sight to be not seen 😂
My sister, a cosmetologist and specifically lash tech, suggested I look into a lash and brow serum to regrow my lashes after I took my extensions out and some of the natural lashes when with them.
I was skeptical at first because I couldn’t find anything in my price range, until I stumbled upon #elf Lash Primer at #target for only $10 🤑
I have been using this primer day and night (when I remember 😂) for the past month and honeyyy, she’s doing her job properly 👏🏻
Definitely worth the $10 and I have legitimately noticed that my lashes have all grown back and are even a bit fuller than before.
What do you ladies think? Have you ever tried a lash serum and it’s worked or not worked? Lmk!!

... Read moreIt’s a question many of us ask when scrolling through beauty aisles or online reviews: can a budget-friendly product truly deliver on big promises, especially when it comes to something as delicate as lash growth? We’ve all seen the expensive lash serums, often with a hefty price tag, making us wonder if a $10 option like the e.l.f. Lash Primer can actually stand a chance. My own experience, and what I’ve heard from others, suggests that sometimes, the unexpected hero product can surprise you.
So, how does a primer double as a lash serum, and what makes it potentially effective? While the e.l.f. Lash Primer is primarily designed to prep lashes for mascara, its ingredients are key. Many primers contain conditioning agents, vitamins, and even peptides that can nourish and strengthen your lashes. Think of it like a daily multivitamin for your hair – creating a healthier environment for growth. When used consistently, these ingredients can help prevent breakage, leading to longer, thicker-looking lashes over time. It’s not about growing new hairs from scratch in most cases, but rather supporting the health of existing lashes and extending their growth cycle.
To really make a product like this work for you, consistency is absolutely crucial. Just like you wouldn’t expect to see results from a skincare routine if you only did it once a week, your lashes need daily attention. Applying a thin coat from root to tip, morning and night, on clean lashes, is the best way to ensure the conditioning ingredients can do their job. Make it part of your routine – perhaps right after you brush your teeth or before you apply your moisturizer. I found that treating the simple silver and black lash serum tube with the same importance as my high-end skincare encouraged me to stick with it.
Beyond just the product, overall lash health plays a huge role. If you’re constantly tugging at your lashes, using harsh makeup removers, or sleeping with mascara on, even the best lash serum might struggle. Be gentle when removing eye makeup, opt for nourishing mascaras, and consider taking breaks from lash extensions if you find your natural lashes are suffering. A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals can also contribute to stronger hair growth, including your lashes.
Ultimately, while individual results can vary, my takeaway from trying the e.l.f. Lash Primer as a serum, and from hearing stories of others, is that it's definitely worth a try, especially for the price. Not every lash serum needs to break the bank to be effective. Sometimes, the most unexpected products, like that little tube from Target, can deliver surprising and satisfying results, helping you achieve those fuller, healthier-looking lashes you've been dreaming of.
I’ve used that for about 1 1/2 yrs and I feel it did nothing
