Gather Your Essentials Before we start, let's make sure you have "Everything You Will Need." You'll want good quality "bleach powder" (I usually use about "2 scoop bleach powder" for a closure), a "40 vol developer" (this is crucial for lifting), a non-metallic mixing bowl and brush, aluminum foil, gloves, purple shampoo, and a deep conditioner. Always wear gloves to protect your hands! Mixing the Magic Formula This step is critical! You need to "Mix your Bleaching Powder" with the "40 vol developer" to a very specific consistency.
