Making heart strawberry hand pies is one of my favorite baking activities because it's both fun and rewarding. I love that these pies are so customizable — you can swap strawberry jam for any berry jam you like, such as raspberry or blueberry, to suit your taste or what you have on hand. One tip I have is to not overfill the pies with jam to avoid leaking during baking. Using about 1 to 2 teaspoons per pie is just right for a clean seal. After sealing the edges with a fork, I brush the tops with egg wash not only to give that lovely golden color but also to help the sanding sugar stick if you want some sparkle and extra texture. If you want to add a finishing touch, sprinkling powdered sugar glaze after baking adds a delicate sweetness and enhances the appearance. These hand pies are perfect for holiday gatherings or as cute gifts because their heart shapes make them especially charming. Baking them at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes works well in my oven, producing crisp crusts without burning. Make sure to line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to avoid sticking. I appreciate how quick these are to prepare—great for busy days or last-minute dessert needs. Plus, working with refrigerated pie crusts simplifies the process, making it approachable even for beginner bakers. Overall, this recipe is a delightful way to bake something special with minimal fuss, and the heart shape definitely brings smiles all around.

Such a cute idea! I definitely will be making some! Thanks for sharing!😍
