Let God Lead: A 5-Minute Reset (Proverbs 3:5–6)
🔑 5-Minute Bible Study
Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Understand
This verse is a gentle reset for anxious hearts.
• Trust doesn’t mean you have all the answers.
• Leaning on your own understanding is what we do when we overthink, control, and spiral.
• Submit in all your ways means: invite God into your choices, your timing, your healing, your plans.
• He will make your path straight doesn’t mean life is perfect—
it means God provides direction, peace, and clarity as you keep walking.
Reflect (Answer These)
1. Where am I trying to control the outcome right now?
2. What is my “own understanding” telling me… and what is faith asking me to believe instead?
3. What would it look like to trust God with this one specific thing today?
4. What decision do I need to submit to Him before I move forward?

5) Prayer (Repeat After Me)
God,
I give You what I’ve been carrying.
I’ve been trying to figure it all out, and I’m tired.
Today I choose trust over fear.
Help me stop leaning on my own understanding
and start leaning on You.
Guide my steps.
Give me clarity where I feel confused,
peace where I feel anxious,
and patience while I wait.
I release control, and I receive Your direction.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🤍
