Valentino ivory
I was so excited for this fragrance, but then I heard so many bad reviews. I was scared to open it… all in all I will be keeping her but the note does not match the scent.
This is more of a powdery clean musk scent. I do not get any marshmallow or Orange blossom.
I have a review on my TikTok page if you wanna watch it .

We've all been there: you look up a perfume's notes online, imagine a beautiful symphony of smells, only to be surprised by something entirely different when you finally spray it. That's exactly the experience I had with Valentino Donna Born in Roma Ivory. It's a gorgeous bottle, and the idea of marshmallow and orange blossom had me absolutely buzzing. But sometimes, what's on paper doesn't quite translate to reality, and that's okay – as long as you know what to expect! When I first tried Valentino Born in Roma Ivory, I was searching for that sweet, fluffy marshmallow note. However, what truly unfolded on my skin was a captivating, light, powdery musk. It has a beautiful, clean feel to it, almost like stepping out of a luxurious bath, wrapped in a soft, freshly laundered towel. The OCR mentioned 'Green Mandarin' as a top note, and while I didn't get a strong, zesty citrus burst, I believe it contributes to that initial freshness, preventing the musk from becoming too heavy or cloying. Instead, it’s a bright, airy opening that smoothly transitions into the powdery heart. This fragrance is a fantastic option if you, like me, have a soft spot for powdery, clean musk scents. It’s comforting, sophisticated, and has a subtle elegance that makes it perfect for everyday wear or even a cozy evening in. It's definitely a scent profile that evokes a sense of calm and gentle luxury. While it wasn't the marshmallow bomb I initially anticipated, I've grown to truly appreciate this unique interpretation within the Born in Roma line. For those who are specifically chasing that distinct marshmallow or intense orange blossom, this particular Ivory flanker might not be your perfect match. However, if you're open to discovering a beautiful, understated powdery musk with a hint of clean freshness, Valentino Donna Born in Roma Ivory could be a delightful surprise for your collection. It’s a testament to how complex fragrances can be and how our personal skin chemistry and perception play a huge role in the final scent experience. Always try a sample if you can, because sometimes the most unexpected perfumes become our most cherished!
