Ghoulia yelps makeup
Hey ghouls and guys! So, I've been obsessed with Monster High since forever, and Ghoulia Yelps has always been my favorite with her super smart, zombie-chic vibe. I finally decided to try recreating her iconic makeup look, and let me tell you, it was so much fun! If you're looking to channel your inner zombie brainiac for a cosplay event, Halloween, or just for fun, here’s how I did it. First things first, Ghoulia’s skin tone is famously pale with a hint of grey-green. I started with a good primer to make sure everything stayed put. Then, I mixed a white cream makeup base with a tiny drop of green liquid foundation to get that subtle zombie pallor. You don't want it to be too green, just a sickly undertone. I applied this all over my face and neck, blending it down so there were no harsh lines. Setting it with a translucent powder is a must to avoid creasing, especially around the eyes and mouth. Next up, the eyes – they’re so crucial for her look! Ghoulia has those gorgeous, deep-set eyes with a mournful, intelligent expression. I used a grey eyeshadow as a base all over my lid and brought it slightly into the crease to create depth. Then, I took a dark plum or deep purple eyeshadow and applied it to the outer V and blended it upwards, giving that slightly sunken, tired but still elegant look. For the liner, a sharp black liquid eyeliner was essential. I created a classic winged liner, but kept it fairly thin to match her more understated, intellectual vibe. Don't forget to tightline the upper waterline with black kohl for extra intensity! On the lower lash line, I smudged a tiny bit of the purple eyeshadow to tie it all together, and added a touch of white eyeliner in the waterline to make my eyes pop a bit more, like hers do. Finish with a generous coat of black mascara, or even some subtle false lashes if you want extra drama. Ghoulia's eyebrows are usually quite defined but natural-looking. I just followed my natural brow shape and filled them in with a dark brown or grey brow pencil, keeping them neat but not overly arched. For the lips, Ghoulia usually sports a muted, almost 'dead' tone. I used a nude-pink lipstick that leaned slightly cool-toned. You could also mix a bit of your foundation with a light pink gloss to get a similar effect. The key is to keep the focus on the eyes and that unique skin tone. One of my favorite details about her is the subtle stitch mark on her cheek. I used a fine-tipped black liquid eyeliner and drew a small, delicate stitch, making sure it looked hand-drawn and not too perfect. It adds so much character! A quick tip: If you're wearing this for a long time, bring a setting spray! It’ll be your best friend. And don't forget to practice beforehand. It took me a couple of tries to get the skin tone just right. Overall, it’s a fun, relatively simple look that really captures Ghoulia’s essence. Give it a try, and let me know how it goes!
