For a long time, I struggled to make him work consistently, but after a lot of trial and error (and a few rage quits, I'll admit!), I finally cracked the code to using him effectively in my decks. He's a true game-changer if you know how to play him right. The Wizard is a 5-elixir ranged troop that deals significant splash damage to both air and ground units. This makes him incredibly versatile for clearing swarms like Skeleton Army, Minion Horde, and Goblin Barrel. His high damage output means he can also melt through high-health units like Giants or Golems if given enough support. I've found the Wizard shines brightest when paired with a strong tank. Think Giant, Golem, or even a Royal Giant. Placing him behind your tank allows him to deal damage safely while your tank soaks up hits. Another fantastic combo is with a fast-moving mini-tank like the Mega Knight or Prince for a devastating push. I always try to keep a cheap cycle card like Skeletons or Goblins in my hand to quickly cycle back to my tank or spell after dropping the Wizard. Don't underestimate the Wizard's defensive capabilities! He's a nightmare for bridge spam decks and air pushes. If your opponent sends in a Lava Hound and Balloon, dropping a Wizard can quickly take down the Balloon and then start chipping away at the Lava Hound, especially if supported by your tower. He's also fantastic for stopping Hog Rider pushes or clearing out a horde of barbarians coming down the lane. On offense, timing is everything. Wait until you have an elixir advantage or your opponent has committed heavily on the other lane. Don't just drop him at the bridge alone; he'll get destroyed instantly. Support him with a sturdy tank and maybe a small spell like Zap or Log to clear any swarms that might distract him. I once won a game by pushing with a Golem and a Wizard behind it, and my opponent couldn't stop the splash damage combo! Of course, the Wizard isn't invincible. His main weakness is his relatively low health for a 5-elixir card. He's very vulnerable to direct damage spells like Fireball or Lightning, and single-target troops like Mini P.E.K.K.A. or Bandit can take him out quickly if they reach him. My biggest tip? Try to bait out their Fireball with another card like a Musketeer or Electro Wizard before playing your Wizard, or split push to divide their spell usage. Here's a simple, effective deck I've had success with: Giant, Wizard, Electro Wizard, Zap, Log, Mini P.E.K.K.A., Musketeer, Skeletons. This deck gives you both strong offense and defense, with the Wizard being the main splash damage dealer. Experiment with your own variations! What are your favorite Wizard decks? Let me know!
