Happy new year !
As we welcome the Chinese New Year 2026, the Year of the Horse brings with it a spirit of energy, freedom, and progress. Celebrating CNY has always been a meaningful tradition imbued with cultural values and family togetherness. From my personal experience, the festive season is a perfect time to reconnect with loved ones, enjoy delicious traditional foods, and participate in vibrant community events. The horse symbolizes vitality and strength, inspiring many to pursue new opportunities with courage and enthusiasm. Decorating homes with red lanterns and couplets, giving red envelopes for good luck, and watching lion dances are some of the cherished customs experienced during this time. I find that preparing traditional dishes, such as dumplings and rice cakes, not only enriches the celebration but also honors our ancestors. Moreover, Chinese New Year is a moment to reflect on the past year and set positive intentions for the future. It encourages kindness, generosity, and optimism, values that I strive to embrace year-round. Whether you celebrate with grand festivities or intimate family gatherings, the Year of the Horse invites everyone to gallop forward with joy and resilience in 2026.
