Beyond the quick intro, there's so much more to explore about how I navigate life as a flight attendant, a homeowner, and someone always on the hunt for a great find. It’s a busy life, especially living in Chicago, but incredibly rewarding. You know I mentioned loving a good deal, especially with inflation these days! My passion for thrifting, antiquing, and estate sales isn’t just about saving money; it’s a treasure hunt. I’ve learned a few tricks over the years for buying clothes, unique home decor, and even furniture. My top tips? Go early for the best selection, always check for quality (materials matter!), and don't be afraid to envision how something could be repurposed. It's amazing what a little paint or creativity can do to transform a forgotten item into something fabulous. This mindset also extends to my overall budget – finding thriftier replacements for expensive items is a game changer! As a flight attendant, traveling is literally my job, but I also adore exploring new places on my own terms. For my fellow solo female travelers, finding affordable AND safe ways to see the world is key. From extensive research on destinations to choosing well-reviewed accommodations, safety always comes first. I often look for deals on flights during off-peak seasons and use public transport to save money. Packing light is another huge one – fewer bags mean less hassle and often lower fees. And don't forget to embrace local experiences! It's how I connect with new people and truly get a feel for a place. Exploring different spots and engaging in outdoor activities are my absolute favorite ways to travel. Owning a home at 22, and then fixing it up, has been a journey! It teaches you so much about patience and DIY. Even with all the travel and home projects, I make time for my other passions. You know I'm an absolute foodie, so cooking and baking are my creative outlets; there's nothing quite like experimenting in the kitchen after a long trip. My love for cardio, Pilates, and getting outdoors keeps me energized and ready for anything. I'm even training for a 5K this year! And nothing beats unwinding with a good historical nonfiction book after a long flight, especially with my dog curled up beside me. It’s all about finding that balance between adventure and cozy home life. I truly believe you can lead a full, vibrant life without breaking the bank. Whether it’s finding a hidden gem at an antique mall, discovering a new trail for hiking, or whipping up a delicious meal, every day is an opportunity for discovery.
