Our latest road trip took us to the sunny desert oasis of Parker, Arizona, a truly fantastic destination situated right along the majestic Colorado River. We set off with our setup: a powerful white pickup truck expertly hitched to our cream-colored 'ALPINE' fifth-wheel RV. It’s always exciting to hit the open road, knowing our cozy home-on-wheels is coming along for the journey. Upon arrival, we found a wonderful spot on a spacious gravel lot, which gave us plenty of room to set up camp and enjoy the clear Arizona sky. I remember seeing a building nearby with 'WHEELS' prominently displayed – a nice reminder that we were in prime RV country, surrounded by folks who appreciate the freedom of the road as much as we do. While the RV setup is key for comfort, the real star of the show here is, without a doubt, the Colorado River. The water is incredibly inviting, perfect for cooling off from the desert heat. We spent our days enjoying various water activities. While we focused more on boating this trip, I heard from fellow campers about excellent catches, from bass to catfish. Next time, I'm definitely packing my fishing gear!
