As a 30 something Year old SAHM

This year I’ll be turning 35 and it’s the first year I’ve really set goals for myself that are sustainable and life changing

I’m in a crazy life season with kids aged 13, 11 , 2 and 1 😅

💗I’m learning to pour into myself so I can pour into my family—embracing self-care without guilt, staying active despite fibromyalgia, and letting go of the need to be perfect. My journey is mine, not a comparison to others. Here’s to progress over perfection and showing up with love, grace, and resilience for my kids and myself. ❤️"

... Read moreOkay, fellow SAHMs, let's get real about mornings. For so long, my mornings felt like a chaotic dash, constantly reacting to everyone else's needs. The idea of a 'morning fitness spark' or becoming one of those 'morningspeople' seemed like a distant dream. But after turning 35 and realizing I needed sustainable changes, I started experimenting, and let me tell you, it's been game-changing. One of my biggest 'INS' for this year was WAKING UP AN HOUR BEFORE KIDS. Seriously, it sounds impossible when you have little ones, but that quiet hour has become my sacred space. It's not about jumping straight into a hardcore workout, especially with my fibromyalgia, but about gentle movement. I've found that even 15-20 minutes of stretching, light yoga, or a brisk walk around the house (if outdoors isn't an option) truly acts as my personal 'morning fitness spark.' It wakes up my body and mind, helping me feel less stiff and more prepared for the day. You don't need fancy equipment or a specific 'review buy' product; just your body and a little intention. Beyond movement, this quiet time lets me focus on myself. I've started taking my VITAMINS consistently, a small habit that makes a big difference in my energy levels throughout the day. It's also when I can journal, plan my day, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee in peace. This proactive start helps me avoid those dreaded RUSHED MORNINGS that used to leave me feeling depleted before noon. And what about the 'OUTS'? I'm actively working on letting go of OVERDOING/OVERTHINKING every little detail. My mornings aren't always perfect, and that's okay. It's about progress, not perfection. I also actively fight the urge of COMPARING MYSELF TO OTHER MOMS who seem to have it all together. My journey is unique, and what works for one SAHM might not work for another. The goal is to find your spark. This shift has even impacted our family life. Because I'm starting my day with more calm and energy, I'm more present for my kids. We've even started incorporating FAMILY READING TIME a few mornings a week, a goal I never thought we'd achieve. It's a beautiful way to connect before the school rush. So, if you're a SAHM in your 30s (or any age!) struggling to find your morning rhythm, don't focus on buying into specific trends or complex routines. Start small. Perhaps just 15 minutes before anyone else wakes up. Find what gives you that 'spark'—whether it's gentle movement, a quiet moment with tea, or simply preparing for a less chaotic day. It's about building sustainable habits that pour back into *you*, allowing you to show up as your best self for your family.
