Respiration
Respiration is the process by which the body takes in oxygen and removes carbon dioxide to produce energy. It involves breathing (ventilation), gas exchange in the lungs, transport of gases in the blood, and cellular respiration within cells. Oxygen is inhaled into the lungs, enters the bloodstream, and is delivered to tissues. Carbon dioxide, a waste product, is carried back to the lungs and exhaled, helping maintain normal body function and pH balance
