My matcha latte recipe below ⬇️
I really wasn’t a coffee drinker until this last couple years, I’ve always done matcha + Shilajit (for 5 years before drinking coffee) until I developed a taste for espresso but I really started to become dependent on it through times of depletion and stress which it ended up depleting me more and even though I drank it early, it messed with my sleep and blood sugar.
After switching back to matcha & Shilajit a few weeks ago I actually sleep beautifullyyyyy now and I know I’m actually supporting my burnt out nervous system and thyroid much better.
I do:
- 1 tsp matcha powder in mug
- heat spring or filtered water (never boiling or it’s too hot) froth 1/2 cup with matcha then fill 3-4 full with hot water
- add milk of choice (raw or A2 dairy, I do MALK oat or almond rn)
- add 1 tsp raw honey
- THEN add @Black Lotus Shilajit to warm beverage (not too hot or you’ll damage the matcha & Shilajit) code: GETREALGIRLFRIEND
You can do capsules if you don’t like the tincture but let me know if you try it!
If you’ve ever felt drained or struggled with sleep after relying on coffee, switching to matcha combined with Shilajit might be a game-changer. Many people facing chronic stress and burnout find that coffee, especially espresso, while initially boosting energy, can worsen hormonal imbalances and disrupt restful sleep. This is because caffeine may increase cortisol levels and spike blood sugar, which can be challenging for those with thyroid or nervous system fatigue. Matcha, a finely ground green tea powder rich in antioxidants and L-theanine, provides a gentler caffeine lift that promotes focus without the jitters or crash. Combining matcha with Shilajit—a potent mineral-rich resin traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine—can enhance overall vitality. Shilajit contains fulvic acid and minerals that help support adrenal health and balance cortisol, the stress hormone. This can be especially beneficial if you often feel depleted or have difficulties managing stress. Preparing your matcha latte with filtered water (never boiling) preserves the delicate antioxidants and nutrients, while adding raw honey offers natural sweetness along with antibacterial properties. Choosing oat or almond milk keeps the drink plant-based and easy on digestion. For those hesitant about Shilajit’s taste, capsules are an alternative option. However, incorporating Shilajit tincture into warm (not too hot) beverages optimizes its benefits. Users report improved sleep patterns, reduced stress levels, and better thyroid function after consistently making this switch. If you’re located in areas like San Diego, where coffee culture dominates, this shift might seem challenging at first, but many find the health benefits well worth it. Starting with the curated matcha latte recipe shared above is a comforting and adaptable way to embrace this change in your daily routine. You’ll likely notice an uplift in your energy quality and overall wellness without the unwanted side effects that coffee can bring.
