Best Taro Mochi BBT😍
If you love BBT, taro, and mochi, this new drink might just be your idea of heaven 🥰
Wanpo Tea Shop is launching a brand new drink tomorrow — and it’s not just delicious, it even comes with a super cute Teddy Bear! 🧸✨
⭐ My rating: 10/10
Got lucky and managed to try it before the official launch because the friendly staff said, “Never mind, sell you first.” 🤭
Price: $9.50
Not the cheapest BBT out there, but honestly worth it. The drink comes in L size with a generous amount of mochi and REAL taro paste, which makes it feel extra satisfying. I went with 25% sugar, and it tasted just right — not overly sweet. 🤩
The mochi is stretchy and soft (though not really chewy), but the texture pairs really well with the creamy taro milk tea. 😋
For comparison, I recently tried the Heytea Mochi Long Jing Black Milk Tea ($6.50 reg size) and would give it a 6/10. The cheese mochi felt more like a super thick paste rather than actual mochi, and the cheese flavour was a bit too strong — it ended up overpowering the milk tea. Didn't get generous portion of mochi😞
Verdict:
If you’re a taro + mochi fan, this Wanpo drink is definitely one to try when it drops tomorrow 💜🧋
I’ve visited Wanpo Tea Shop at Suntec City a couple of times since trying their new taro mochi milk tea, and each visit has been consistently delightful. What stands out about this drink is the authentic taro paste that gives it a rich, natural flavor rather than artificial sweetness. The texture combination of the stretchy but soft mochi and the creamy milk tea elevates the experience, making it feel like a comforting treat. For those wondering about the value, while the price is $9.50 for a large size, you really get generous portions of mochi and real taro, which is rare compared to other bubble tea options. I recommend opting for 25% sugar to enjoy the full flavors without it becoming too sweet. I also tried other taro mochi bubble teas from different shops, including Heytea's version at $6.50, but found Wanpo’s to be far superior in mochi texture and taro taste. Heytea's cheese mochi was too thick and overpowering, detracting from the milk tea itself. If you’re visiting Suntec City and want to experience a bubble tea that balances quality ingredients with fun presentation—including a cute plush toy—Wanpo Tea Shop’s taro mochi milk tea is a must-try. It’s perfect for anyone craving a comforting, tasty, and textured drink. Don’t miss their launch day to grab one yourself!
