Chocolate Covered Cherry Coffee Recipe

I only used three caps of the concentrate because it’s very heavy. A lil goes a long way! On days I want a stronger coffee taste, I’ll add 6 caps.

I see a lot of you saying you still can’t find the Cherry Almond Macaron Creamer. I get mine from Walmart, when I can find it in stock. I also purchase the Snickers Creamer from Walmart as well.

... Read moreI absolutely adore starting my day with a special coffee, and this chocolate-covered cherry recipe has quickly become one of my all-time favorites! It’s such a delightful treat that feels gourmet but is surprisingly easy to whip up right at home. I know many of you are curious about getting that perfect balance of flavor and energy, so let me share a few more tips that have really elevated my coffee game. First, let's talk about the base. While the creamer does a lot of the heavy lifting for flavor, the quality of your coffee concentrate or espresso shot makes a big difference. I usually brew a strong batch of cold brew concentrate or use my espresso machine. For a truly rich chocolate cherry experience, I start with about 1.5-2 oz of espresso or 4-6 oz of cold brew concentrate, depending on how strong I want my coffee. Remember, a little goes a long way with concentrate, just like I mentioned earlier! If you're looking for a really potent MORNING jolt, you can always up the coffee amount, but be mindful of the overall liquid to keep the flavors balanced. Now, for the star ingredients: the creamers! That Cherry Almond Macaron Creamer is pure magic, and I totally get why it's hard to find. When I do spot it at Walmart, I usually grab a couple! If you're struggling to find it, don't despair. You can create a similar flavor profile by combining a good vanilla or almond creamer with a splash of cherry syrup and a hint of almond extract. For the chocolate aspect, the Snickers creamer is fantastic, but a simple chocolate syrup or a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder whisked into a bit of hot water works wonderfully too. I like to add about 2-3 tablespoons of the specialty creamer, or adjust to my sweetness preference. When it comes to caffeine content, I really play around with the amount of coffee concentrate I use. On days when I need a serious energy boost, I’ll go for more, maybe up to 6 caps of concentrate if it's a very potent one. If I'm having this later in the afternoon or just want a milder, more dessert-like coffee, I'll stick to a smaller amount or even use decaf espresso. It's all about personal preference and understanding your own tolerance. I've found that using a darker roast coffee also gives a deeper flavor that stands up well to the sweet creamers. For assembly, I usually combine my coffee concentrate, creamer, and a few ice cubes in a glass for an iced version, which is my usual go-to. If you prefer it hot, simply warm your milk/creamer before adding it to the hot coffee. A drizzle of chocolate syrup on the inside of the glass before pouring in the coffee adds a beautiful touch, making it feel like a café-quality drink. Sometimes, I even top it with a swirl of whipped cream and a fresh cherry if I'm feeling extra fancy. This recipe is super versatile, so feel free to experiment with different brands of chocolate or cherry syrups to find your perfect combination. Trust me, once you try this, you'll be hooked on this delicious coffee concoction!
