“Planted With Purpose

“Planted With Purpose”

Meanwhile…

While you’re searching for someone to use —

I’m searching for someone to build with.

Because the Word says,

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

— Amos 3:3

Agreement is alignment.

Alignment is purpose.

I am not a stepping stool.

I am not a convenience.

I am not a temporary ladder for permanent climbers.

I am planted.

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth his fruit in his season…”

— Psalm 1:3

Planted means rooted.

Rooted means nourished.

Nourished means I don’t beg for validation —

I grow from it.

You want harvest?

The Word says,

“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

— Galatians 6:7

So if you sow manipulation —

You reap isolation.

If you sow selfishness —

You reap distance.

But if you sow righteousness —

You reap peace.

And elevation?

“Faith without works is dead.”

— James 2:17

You can’t pray for overflow

And refuse obedience.

You can’t cry out for breakthrough

But reject discipline.

You can’t expect God to move

While you refuse to move your feet.

Be careful who you sit with.

“Bad company corrupts good character.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:33

It doesn’t matter how many years.

It doesn’t matter the history.

If they are not pushing you toward purpose —

If they are not sharpening your spirit —

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

— Proverbs 27:17

And if they’re dulling your edge…

Evaluate it.

Not from pride.

From wisdom.

Because the Bible says,

“Above all else, guard your heart,

for everything you do flows from it.”

— Proverbs 4:23

I guard my peace.

I guard my assignment.

I guard what God entrusted to me.

I am here to be fruitful.

“Be fruitful and multiply.”

— Genesis 1:28

I am here to serve.

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”

— Matthew 20:26

I am here to raise my child in truth.

“Train up a child in the way he should go…”

— Proverbs 22:6

And when God calls me home —

Let it be said I finished.

“I have fought the good fight,

I have finished the race,

I have kept the faith.”

— 2 Timothy 4:7

Meanwhile…

While you look for someone to use —

I’ll be planted.

Rooted.

Guarded.

Fruitful.

We are not the same.

Much like the scripture from Psalm 1:3, I strive to be deeply rooted and nourished so that I can bear fruit in due season rather than chasing fleeting validations. This planted state encourages growth through faith and purposeful action rather than mere expectation. One of the most impactful lessons I learned is the importance of choosing the right company, as "bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33). Surrounding myself with people who sharpen my spirit and push me toward my purpose has helped me maintain clarity and peace. It isn’t always about longevity in relationships but about whether those connections align with my spiritual and life goals. Faith without works is dead (James 2:17) reminds me daily that obedience and discipline must accompany prayer and hope. I realized that asking for breakthroughs while resisting change or refusing to act contradicts the growth I seek. Being planted means I must actively nurture my faith through action and persistence. The wisdom to guard my heart (Proverbs 4:23) proved essential when navigating challenges and setbacks. This guarding is more than protecting feelings; it’s an intentional defense of my purpose and peace against negativity or manipulation, echoing the harvest principle "you reap what you sow" (Galatians 6:7). When I sow kindness, integrity, and diligence, the fruits of peace and elevation follow, fostering a fulfilling life. Lastly, raising children in truth and leading by example helps me extend this purposeful planting into future generations, staying true to Proverbs 22:6. Completing my race with faith and purpose, as stated in 2 Timothy 4:7, remains a daily motivation to grow, serve, and remain rooted no matter the season.
