9 habits for managing stress *:・゚✧*:・゚✧

my biggest lesson I learned last year was how much stress/anxiety effects my gut health so my goal this year is to calm tf down 🥹

stress will never go away completely… it’s part of being a human, but it’s how we deal with things when they pop that truly matters!

so, here’s what I’m doing to help my gut health!

• ice rolling my face (morning asap) for vagus nerve

• jumping for 2 minutes (or songs 😂) after waking up for lymphatic drainage, nervous system regulation

• dry brushing

• daily movement (workout, class, walk)

• magnesium before bed

• going to therapy (yes this is a habit!!)

• scheduling one day a week to rest

• being aware of phone checking (dopamine can become unbalanced if you’re always reaching for your phone)

• EFT tapping meditations (helps your body process emotions)

Hope these help and add your habits in the comments!🤍✨

... Read moreManaging stress is essential for not just mental well-being but also gut health. Stress has a profound effect on the digestive system, leading to various issues such as bloating and discomfort. Research indicates that the gut and brain are closely connected, often referred to as the gut-brain axis. This means that our emotional health can significantly impact our digestive health. To cultivate better stress management practices, consider integrating mindfulness techniques, physical activities, and proper nutrition. For instance, incorporating a balanced diet rich in probiotics can help improve gut flora and mitigate the effects of stress. Regular exercise can also alleviate stress levels by releasing endorphins, aiding in mood enhancement. In addition to the habits you’ve outlined, engaging in yoga or meditation can further bolster mental resilience. Furthermore, creating a nurturing self-care routine fosters a sense of self-worth and relaxation, crucial aspects of stress management. It’s important to identify triggers and maintain a diary to reflect on emotional responses, thus empowering oneself to handle stress more adeptly. The journey towards managing stress is personal and can be significantly impacted by community support, so sharing experiences can facilitate healing.
