weekly workouts for lowering cortisol

Low intensity/impact workouts are great if you’re trying to reduce/not raise cortisol!

High intensity workouts like HIIT can raise cortisol and testosterone which may not be great for women and hormone balance.

I love doing Pilates, strength training, and walking for low impact workouts! You can also do cycling, swimming, the elliptical, or yoga!

Note: this schedule is personal to me & my work schedule which is Saturday-Wednesday 🫶🏻

To manage cortisol levels, incorporating low-impact workouts into your routine is essential. Pilates is a fantastic choice as it combines strength and flexibility training, promoting relaxation and body awareness. In addition, activities like yoga, walking, and cycling not only help reduce cortisol but also contribute positively to cardiovascular health. With workouts that stress the importance of relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing and stretching, you can create a holistic approach to health. Consider scheduling your workouts at times that suit your lifestyle; for example, engaging in Pilates on Mondays can set a tranquil tone for the week. Remember, consistency is key, and listening to your body can guide you toward a balanced fitness regimen that supports your overall well-being.
