working out with PCOS ✨

The key to working out for PCOS is …

Consistency!🔑

since PCOS is chronic you need to make working out a habit that you engage in at least 3-4 times per week!

Daily movement like a walk or stretching is a non negotiable though! You need to love your body!! Blood flow & circulation is critical to our menstrual/ovarian health.

I’ll try to do Pilates twice a week! Reformer or mat Pilates is great. I do hot mat Pilates usually because the hot room is great for detoxing.

Strength training can help manage symptoms of PCOS by reducing testosterone, helping with insulin resistance, and burning fat! I try to strength train 3 times a week.

There’s not really a wrong way to work out as long as you’re enjoying it and moving your body!🥹

Hope this helps xx

... Read moreLiving with PCOS can be challenging, but implementing a tailored workout regimen can significantly alleviate symptoms. Regular exercise—such as walking, Pilates, and strength training—works wonders for managing insulin levels and enhancing circulation, crucial for menstrual and ovarian health. Incorporating low-intensity workouts like Pilates or stretching sessions into your routine can help reduce cortisol levels, which is vital for PCOS girls. A recommended approach is to engage in Pilates at least twice a week, focusing on mat or hot Pilates classes for enhanced detox benefits. Moreover, strength training not only helps in burning fat but also in reducing testosterone levels in the body, which can aid in managing symptoms of PCOS. Establishing a pattern of strength training three times a week can lead to better results and improved physical well-being. Another essential aspect of your workout plan should include daily movement—be it a brisk walk or a gentle yoga session. This habit fosters a healthier relationship with your body, ultimately helping you feel more energized and balanced. Don't forget that finding joy in movement is key; you'll stay motivated and committed to your health journey!
