signs you’re in a burnout cycle and how to recover

Burnout is a state of long-term, unresolved stress that can negatively affect your work and life!!

There are a few stages leading up to burnout and it's good to be aware of them to hopefully prevent it.

When I feel l'm in burnout, my body feels so fatigued and I'm easily triggered. I constantly feel like l'm not doing enough even tho I need rest.

This will happen after a super busy month or if I take on too much work at once. It's a fine line to balance in the early stages of burnout because you feel good and motivated to take on a lot.

But that catches up with you quickly if you're not giving yourself enough time to rest. Sometimes we don't get that privilege though especially if your work environment or load is toxic.

Once stress sets in and it continues chronically it can lead to burnout and if you never let yourself recover from burnout it will become habitual. Your nervous system just remains in an imbalanced state leading to chronic disregulation.

So the take away is know your boundaries and don't be afraid to exercise them to allow yourself to rest!

Hope this helps 🥹❤️

... Read moreBurnout can manifest in various forms, often categorized into physical, behavioral, and emotional signs. Physically, one may experience constant fatigue, headaches, or changes in appetite. Behaviorally, decreased productivity, procrastination, and irritability are common. Emotionally, feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a sense of failure may emerge. To combat burnout, it’s essential to reflect on your workload and stress management habits. Ask yourself: Are you taking adequate breaks? Have you communicated your needs to colleagues or loved ones? Incorporating self-care practices, such as regular exercise, mindfulness, or setting boundaries in your work life, can greatly enhance your recovery process. Remember, prioritizing your mental health is not just beneficial; it's essential for sustained productivity and happiness in both work and life. Be patient with yourself and know that recovery is a gradual process. Implementing small changes can lead to significant improvements, helping you regain passion and interest in your activities.
