simple changes that helped my PCOS ✨

these may seem really simple but they have been the bigger game changers for my health!!

I have PCOS which means I need to be careful about my blood sugar balance because PCOS is a metabolic issue.

In the mornings I used to have celery juice on an empty stomach and then a smoothie (some days a coffee right after 🥲) I think about this now and cringe lol

No wonder why I didn’t feel good!! I was spiking my blood sugar and then not eating enough calories or protein. Then having a coffee to top it all off would again spike my blood sugar and cortisol …

Oh and I would be checking social media right after waking up too 😭 the perfect storm for unbalanced hormones!!

Now I do the opposite of those things! I manage my blood sugar with apple cider vinegar shots and eat at least 30g of protein for breakfast. I do not check social media until after my morning routine.

This has helped me so much! The small changes make all the difference 🫶🏻

... Read morePCOS, or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, is a common metabolic disorder that can cause a range of symptoms including irregular periods, excess androgen levels, and insulin resistance. Managing blood sugar is crucial for those with PCOS, as unregulated insulin can exacerbate symptoms like hair loss, acne, and weight gain. One effective practice is taking apple cider vinegar before meals, which studies show can help lower blood sugar levels. Additionally, prioritizing a high-protein breakfast can stabilize energy levels and promote a healthy metabolism. Avoiding social media in the morning can also help reduce stress levels, as exposure to content early in the day can elevate cortisol, leading to hormonal imbalances. Incorporating these simple yet impactful changes can drastically improve overall well-being and hormone health.
