Do you experience this on your period?
We all know what odor I’m talking about 😭🐠 … luckily there are things we can do!!
First is staying as clean as possible! Shower morning and night with a fragrance free, gentle soap. I find using a bidet also helps during the day!! I don’t like wipes because even the most gentle wipes make my skin burn.
Make sure to change your tampon or pad every time you use the restroom. If that’s not possible make sure to at least every four hours for a tampon! And never sleep with a tampon in.
The odor is coming from an imbalance of bacteria so I take a daily probiotic that targets vaginal health! This supplement is called glow culture and it’s a holy grail for me!! The probiotic is spore forming so it actually survives your stomach acid and can support your vaginal microbiome.
At the end of my period I will use a boric acid suppository to also rebalance the bacteria in my vaginal microbiome. I will use this a few days in a row until I’m not noticing an odor anymore.
Hope these tips help!!

Period odor is a common concern many women face during menstruation, caused primarily by an imbalance of bacteria in the vaginal microbiome. To keep this odor under control, maintaining optimal hygiene is essential. Showering twice daily with a gentle, fragrance-free soap can help prevent irritation and keep the area clean without disrupting natural flora. Using a bidet during the day is another effective way to maintain cleanliness without harsh wiping, which may cause skin sensitivity. Frequent changing of tampons or pads is vital; ideally, change them every time you use the restroom or at least every four hours for tampons. This routine minimizes bacterial growth that can cause unpleasant smells and helps avoid infections. Importantly, never sleep with a tampon in place — opting for a clean pad at night and changing it immediately after waking up supports vaginal health. Supplementing with a spore-forming probiotic designed specifically for vaginal health can promote a balanced microbiome by surviving stomach acid and nurturing beneficial bacteria. One popular choice is a probiotic supplement often called Glow Culture, which also supports hormonal balance and stress management, both influential factors in vaginal wellness. After menstruation ends, incorporating boric acid suppositories can assist in restoring bacterial balance and alleviating odor. Using these suppositories for several consecutive nights supports the vaginal flora and helps reduce any lingering unwanted smell. Adopting these natural yet effective strategies not only helps control period odor but also contributes to overall feminine wellness. Maintaining balance in vaginal bacteria through proper hygiene, probiotic intake, and supportive treatments like boric acid ensures comfort and confidence throughout your menstrual cycle.

It’s crazy how a bunch of adult women aren’t aware that every woman’s body is different with different smells.
