Would you ever do this??

This was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do 😅

last year I was getting stabbing stomach pains & bloating every time I ate carbs even fruit. It was so uncomfortable I decided to see my doctor because I was miserable.

Based off symptoms my functional doctor suggested I do the candida diet! The candida diet is a low carb or no sugar diet. I decided to try the candida diet just to see if it would help. After a week I noticed a huge difference so I decided to keep doing it for a few months!

After 4 months I reintroduced carbs back to my diet and my stomach reacted so much better!

I would not recommend doing this diet long term because it’s low calorie and pretty restrictive. I’m glad I did it though because it paid off!

Have you tried the candida diet before??

... Read moreDealing with gut health issues like stabbing stomach pains and bloating can be really challenging, especially when it happens after eating common foods like carbs and fruit. Many people often overlook how their diet impacts their digestive system until symptoms become unbearable. The candida diet, which emphasizes low carb and no sugar intake, is designed to curb the overgrowth of Candida yeast in the gut, a common cause of such discomfort. This diet works by reducing sugar and simple carbohydrates that Candida thrives on, helping to restore balance in the gut microbiome. Although it can be restrictive and low in calories, many who try it report improvements in symptoms within just a week. However, it is important to approach this diet as a short-term intervention rather than a long-term lifestyle to avoid nutritional deficiencies. After a period on the candida diet, reintroducing carbs gradually allows your gut to adjust and can provide valuable insight into how different foods affect your digestion. This cautious reintroduction helps identify specific triggers and supports better long-term digestive health. For anyone considering the candida diet, consulting with a healthcare provider or functional doctor is essential to tailor the approach to individual needs and monitor progress. Alongside dietary changes, maintaining gut health through probiotics, hydration, and stress management can further support digestive wellness. Overall, the candida diet can be a useful tool to address gut health issues when used appropriately and temporarily, helping people regain comfort and confidence in their digestive health.
