do you feel clean using period underwear?

I might be overthinking this and need to just try it 🤣

I got kinda freaked out feeling how heavy the pad part was in these period underwear tho …

I feel like they’re not going to be comfortable with clothes and feel like a diaper lol but that can’t be worse than a pad right??

I am excited to try them at night so I don’t bleed onto my sheets any more! I swear even wearing a nighttime pad that always happens to me 😭

It’s also safer than wearing a tampon to bed too! My period is coming up so I will keep you updated 🤍

... Read moreMany people are curious about the comfort and cleanliness of period underwear, especially when switching from traditional pads or tampons. From my experience and what I've gathered from others, the 'pad part' in period underwear can feel heavier or bulkier at first, which might cause some discomfort or self-consciousness, especially during daytime wear. This is a common feeling because the fabric layers and absorbent materials are designed to hold menstrual flow securely, which naturally adds some weight. However, period underwear offer many advantages, particularly at night. Many users report that it greatly helps prevent leaks onto bedsheets, a struggle commonly faced even when wearing night-specific pads. The breathable, reusable fabric used in period underwear also tends to feel fresher compared to traditional pads, which can sometimes feel damp or sticky. The concern about feeling like wearing a diaper is valid but often fades as you get used to the fit and style. Low-rise period underwear can be more discreet under clothes and feel less bulky. Moreover, because they avoid the use of chemicals or synthetic pads, some users find period underwear safer and healthier, especially compared to tampons, which require caution when worn overnight to reduce risks like toxic shock syndrome. If you’re hesitant to try period underwear during the day due to feeling heavy or uncomfortable, starting with nighttime use could be a great way to test how they work for you. It’s also helpful to read reviews and get recommendations on brands that prioritize comfort and absorbency with thinner designs. Overall, period underwear provides a sustainable and effective alternative for menstrual management, with many appreciating the added security and comfort during sleep. It’s always good to try a few different styles to find what suits your flow and comfort preferences best. Remember, personal experience may vary, but with time, period underwear can become an essential and trusted part of your period kit essentials.
