Basic question but: What happens when we die?
I have been thinking about the specifics and recently have had fears about what happens to our subconscious? Do we know we died? Are we lying there aware? Or is everything just “gone”
The topic of what happens when we die has been a subject of fascination and concern across different cultures and philosophies. Many people ponder whether consciousness continues after death, or if it simply fades into nothingness. Various religions and spiritual traditions offer diverse perspectives on the afterlife. For instance, beliefs such as reincarnation, heaven, and hell provide frameworks for understanding existence beyond physical life. Furthermore, scientific studies on near-death experiences have ignited discussions regarding awareness during moments of death. Some individuals report vivid experiences that suggest a continuation of consciousness. These accounts fuel curiosity and debate about what truly transpires when we take our last breath. Philosophically, the inquiry into whether we are aware of our own passing or if our thoughts dissipate along with our physical form raises profound questions about identity and existence. As society evolves, so does the discourse surrounding death, encouraging individuals to reflect on their beliefs and fears concerning mortality. Ultimately, the conversation about death is not just about an endpoint, but also about how we live our lives in relation to this certainty. Understanding different viewpoints can offer comfort and insight as we navigate our own existential questions.

I think what happens after we die is still a mystery, but I believe in peace and continuation in some form, whether spiritual, energetic, or remembered through love.
