... Read moreVisiting OTTO Cafe offers more than just a meal—it’s a full sensory experience that combines great food with an inviting atmosphere. What really stood out during my visit was the cafe’s clever use of natural lighting and open space, which creates a bright yet cozy environment ideal for a relaxing brunch or casual meet-up with friends. The chill jazzy pop music in the background complements the tropical minimalistic décor perfectly, making it a great spot to unwind. One personal favorite was the Pan Seared Spring Chicken. The softness of the grilled chicken paired with the fresh zucchini, tomatoes, and creamy mashed potatoes truly made the dish satisfying in texture and flavor. I found the vegetables added just the right amount of freshness and depth, balancing out the richness of the chicken and mash. The Mum’s Aglio Olio was another highlight with its fragrant herbs and juicy grilled prawns, enhanced by the tangy burst of tomatoes. This dish is perfect for those who appreciate simple, well-crafted pasta meals with a twist. Similarly, the Lamb Ragu brought a warm, aromatic tomato-based flavor that paired beautifully with the perfectly cooked pasta. For something light and refreshing, the Tropical Açai Bowl was a delight. The cold açai scoops mixed with fresh fruits and crunchy granola provided a refreshing texture contrast that is especially appealing in Malaysia’s tropical climate. On the drink front, the cafe offers visually striking iced Mocha and Chocolate drinks with a rich, balanced flavor. The mocha offers a nice harmony of coffee and chocolate, while the chocolate drink suits those who prefer a more bittersweet cocoa taste. Both drinks come with an artistic touch, making them as pleasing to the eye as to the palate. Overall, OTTO Cafe is well worth a visit if you're in Johor Bahru or nearby areas. Its unique combination of atmosphere, music, and well-executed dishes truly embodies the essence of an aesthetic brunch cafe. Whether you’re looking for comfort food, light bites, or beautifully crafted drinks, OTTO Cafe delivers on all fronts for a memorable dining experience.
