Happy Rising! I hope you're enjoying your new week blessings. Starting my week with a little reflection on scripture always helps me feel grounded and ready for whatever comes. Recently, a verse that has really resonated with me, especially when I feel overwhelmed or anxious, is Daniel 10:12. It’s become one of my go-to "Script Med" verses for a quick dose of spiritual encouragement. When I first came across this passage, I was looking for daily encouragement, and this verse truly delivers. It’s part of a powerful story where Daniel has been fasting and praying for a long time—three whole weeks! He’s feeling weary and distressed, burdened by a vision he doesn't fully understand. Then, an angel appears to him, and the very first thing the angel says is, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard." Isn't that just incredibly comforting? This verse reminds me that our prayers don't just disappear into thin air. From the moment we earnestly seek God, with a humble heart, He hears us. Even if we don't see an immediate answer, or if we're feeling down and weary, like Daniel was after weeks of waiting, our voices are not ignored. It gives me such a profound sense of peace to know that 'my words were heard.' This assurance helps me trust in God's timing, even when it’s different from my own, and when I'm tempted to give up. It’s a powerful reminder that perseverance in prayer truly matters. This message of hope and reassurance really connects with other scriptures I cherish, like Romans 15:13, which says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." When I think about Daniel’s unwavering perseverance and eventual comfort, it perfectly echoes the hope we can find when we trust fully in the Lord. It’s like seeing a beautiful autumn landscape, full of colorful trees under a cloudy sky – even when situations seem uncertain or a bit gloomy, there's still incredible beauty and God's promise of renewal and hope shining through. Similarly, I often turn to Tehilliym (Psalms) 145:15-19 when I need a reminder of God's constant care and responsiveness. Those verses tell us, "The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." This truly shows how attentive and present God is to His creation and to us. Just like a block of text on a dark, textured background can make powerful words stand out clearly, these Psalms highlight God’s faithfulness in providing and being near to us when we call out to Him. It's a wonderful parallel to Daniel's experience – God heard him from the very first day, and God provides for us in His perfect timing, always remaining faithful. So, as we navigate this new week, let's carry the profound wisdom of Daniel 10:12 with us. Remember that your earnest prayers are heard, your humble heart is seen, and you don't need to fear the waiting periods or the challenges that arise. Embrace your blessings, find joy and peace in trusting God's plan, and know that He is always near, ready to satisfy your true desires in His perfect way.
