First things first, you need to make sure your friends are actually on your in-game friends list. If you're on PC, this means adding them through the EA App (formerly Origin). For console players, they usually need to be on your console's native friends list (PSN, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch Online) and then they'll typically appear in your Apex Legends friends list as well. Just head to the friends icon in the bottom right corner of the lobby screen, search for their username, and send them an invite. Once they accept, they'll be ready to go! Once they're on your friends list, getting into a game together is super straightforward. From the main lobby screen, you'll see your friends list on the right side. Simply click on their name and select "Invite to Party." If they're online and not currently in a match, they’ll receive an invitation to join your squad. They just need to accept, and boom, they're in your lobby! From there, you can choose your game mode – whether it's Battle Royale, Arenas, or even the new Mixtape modes – and queue up together. Now, sometimes things might not go as smoothly. What if you can't find your friend? Double-check their exact username, including any special characters or capitalization. Also, ensure you're both on the same server region; sometimes server differences can cause issues. You can check and change your data center from the main title screen before entering the lobby. Another common hiccup is platform differences. While Apex Legends supports cross-play, you still need to add friends via their in-game Apex Legends ID, not just their console ID, if you're on different platforms. Playing in Ranked with a pre-made squad of friends is a game-changer.
