☀️ Did You See the Eclipse Today?!
🌑 What a fabulous and fascinating show that was! In my city, the moon began to cover the sun just around 2pm. I wasn’t in the path of totality, but my area got a max of 85% coverage at 3:19! The sky even got a bit darker for several minutes which was super cool. The moon finally finished passing across just a bit ago around 4.
🕶️ My boyfriend and I spent almost an hour picnicking outside watching the eclipse through our special glasses (courtesy of Raising Cane’s Chicken, who for some reason brought hundreds of them to my workplace for us to hand out free!) and we were also able to meet a few friendly neighbors who were outside in the same area as us. It was so fun to see so many people on my block coming outside to admire the eclipse! I love how special events like this can bring communities together.
