🕹️ I bought my New 3DS XL (this one is a Japanese model so technically an LL) in February, and I have been obsessed ever since! I purchased it already modded on Mercari for $200. I had a red DS Lite as a kid, and while I cherished it, I remember envying my friends who got the 3DS when it first came out. Now that I have my own money as an adult, I was finally able to get one for myself!

Since I got mine already modded, most of the work was already done for me. If you’re interested in modding your 3DS, I recommend visiting the 3ds.hacks.guide website & the Nintendo Homebrew server on Discord. Avoid using YouTube tutorials, as they can be outdated and won’t always work.

I use my Switch frequently, but there are so many games I miss from the DS! My 3DS lets me play super fun nostalgic games that aren’t available for the Switch. It also feels more portable than the Switch since it folds to be smaller. In my experience, the 3DS also has a better battery life than the Switch! Overall, I love this console and I definitely recommend it to anyone who misses the games they played as a kid.
