Mucho mucho 🤍
This year, I decided to shift my focus from expecting things from others to expecting much from myself. It’s a mindset change that brings a sense of empowerment and personal accountability. When I stopped counting on others to fulfill my hopes or plans, I began to cultivate my own strength and resilience. I found that by raising my own standards and taking ownership of my goals and happiness, I was more motivated to take action and less likely to be disappointed. This doesn't mean I shut people out but rather I became less dependent on external validation or support. Instead, I learned to trust my abilities and put in the effort needed to achieve what I want. It's not always easy to manage this shift—sometimes the desire for reassurance or help from others is strong. But embracing this philosophy helped me to build confidence in myself and improve my emotional well-being. I encourage anyone feeling frustrated by unmet expectations to try focusing more on their own capabilities and less on others. The phrase “Este año no espero mucho de nadie. Espero mucho de mi” captures this beautifully: “This year I don’t expect much from anyone, I expect much from myself.” It’s a reminder that personal growth starts with self-belief and commitment. If you’re looking for a fresh perspective on how to navigate your goals and relationships, this approach is worth exploring.
