MY TRANSFORMATION SO FAR

AUG 23’-AUG 24’

This time last year I was about 17lbs heavier. But that’s the thing.. I didn’t care about the number on the scale — and I still don’t!

I’ve had my fair share of unhealthy habits, fad diets, exercises that some influencer told me I’d lose weight in 2 weeks.. and I’m not a nutritionist, or a doctor, I’m just a girl who listens to her body but nonetheless those diets ^^ didn’t work.

In Jan 2024, I decided to make a lifestyle change. I didn’t decide to do just a “diet”. I chose to challenge myself by trying something new, but something I could actually COMMIT to.

The more I post, the more I can get into my specifics and what I found has/hasn’t worked for me — but change DOESN’T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. It’s easy to feel frustrated — I still do! I’m not where I want to be and it’s easy to think I’m not doing enough, and I should be doing more. But getting 1% better each day is all you can do (and on that I suggest everyone read Atomic Habits).

Rant is over! 💖for those who have been on their fitness journey, or maybe you just started, you’re doing great. Show up for you, and know you’re awesome 😎

To maintain motivation and avoid burnout, it's essential to focus on personal progress rather than comparing yourself to others. Reading self-help and habit-building books like 'Atomic Habits' can provide practical strategies for making sustainable changes in your life. Keep in mind that the road to health is not a straight path — it’s filled with ups and downs. This journey is not just about losing weight or meeting a specific goal; it's about fostering a healthier and happier lifestyle. Remember, showing up for yourself every day is a significant achievement. Celebrate each small victory, whether it's a successful workout, a nutritious meal, or simply having the courage to start anew. Share your journey with others for accountability and encouragement, engaging with communities that inspire you. Use hashtags like #transformationjourney and #myweightlossjourney to connect with like-minded individuals who support your aspirations.
