Do I Have A Screen Time PROBLEM ?!!

Please don’t judge but MYTOTAL SCREEN TIME is 25HR & 47M IN A WEEK !!

I have a REALLY bad habit of having a high screen time number on my phone ! I’m constantly on it and it always gives me this mark on my pinky finger !!

I feel like all my time goes into my phone & I don’t really have anywhere to go more than half the time and the only time I’m really not on my phone is work..

as I posted this I realized I truly have a problem lol !!

Do you think it’s Bad ?! & What’s Healthier things YOU do then be on your phone ?!

... Read moreWow, reading about someone else's screen time struggles really hit home for me! I completely get that feeling of looking at your 'daily average' and wondering how on earth you spent 11h 39m on your phone in just one day, let alone a 25h 47m total for the week. It’s like a silent addiction that creeps up on you, isn't it? That pinky finger mark is such a tell-tale sign – I’ve been there! It’s crazy how much our phones become an extension of us. For anyone else grappling with a high iPhone Screen Time (whether it's 4 hour screen time or a staggering 20 hour screen time like some days can feel), I've been trying a few things that actually help. One of the biggest game-changers for me was simply being aware of my usage. Seeing that 12h 53m daily average in black and white was a huge wake-up call. I started by setting app limits on my iPhone for social media apps that I know are time sinks. It doesn't always stop me, but getting that notification, "You've used your limit for today," can sometimes be enough to make me pause. Another thing that's made a difference is finding intentional screen time problem solutions. Instead of just mindlessly scrolling, I try to replace that habit with something else. For instance, if I feel the urge to pick up my phone, I might grab a book, go for a short walk, or even just call a friend. It's about consciously choosing an alternative activity rather than just trying to not be on your phone. Sometimes, it's as simple as leaving my phone in another room when I'm watching TV or eating dinner. Those little breaks really add up. I’ve also found that knowing why I'm picking up my phone helps. Am I bored? Anxious? Procrastinating? If I can identify the underlying emotion, I can address that instead of reaching for a digital distraction. It's not easy, especially when our phones are so integral to our lives, but even small steps, like intentionally putting your phone away for an hour before bed or during your morning coffee, can make a huge difference in reclaiming your time and mental space. It's a journey, and I’m still figuring it out, but feeling more present and less tethered to my screen is definitely worth the effort!
