Skipping Breakfast
What happens if you start skipping breakfast?Â
So let's say that you eat dinner around 7 p m. And then at 8 p m, you stop eating and you begin fasting.Â
About 4 hours later, around midnight, your blood sugar normalizes.Â
Around 6 am, your digestive system has reset.Â
You wake up and you're ready for breakfast. But this time, let's say you skip breakfast.Â
About an hour later, around 8 am, fat burning will begin and HGH, human growth hormone, goes up.Â
The HGH, the ketones in your blood, as well as something called brain derived neurotrophic factor, are wonderful for your brain. It's like fertilizer for your brain.Â
The elevated ketones are also great for lowering inflammation throughout the body.Â
A couple hours later, the fat burning really starts to ramp up. This is when you're literally eating your love handles for breakfast.Â
And then around noon, I typically break my fast with some lunch. And when I eat, I try to prioritize protein and fiber.Â
Skipping breakfast has been a great way for me to lose fat.Â
I've saved money.
My work productivity is better.
And when I'm fasting, I'm simply using energy that has been built up in my fat cells and in my liver.
From my experience skipping breakfast, I've noticed not only physical benefits but also mental clarity throughout the morning. When you delay your first meal, your body starts to tap into fat stores for energy, thanks to increased human growth hormone (HGH) levels. This hormone not only supports fat burning but also helps preserve muscle mass. Moreover, the rise of ketones during fasting acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, which improves overall health and cognitive function. In fact, I feel more focused and alert during my fasting hours, which has positively impacted my work productivity. It's important to break the fast wisely—when I eat lunch, I prioritize protein and fiber to sustain my energy longer and avoid sudden blood sugar spikes. This approach also helps to control appetite and prevent overeating later in the day. Skipping breakfast has also been an effective way to simplify my routine and save money by reducing unnecessary meals. However, I recommend listening to your body because everyone's tolerance to fasting can vary. Stay hydrated during the fasting window and incorporate balanced, nutrient-dense foods once you eat. Ultimately, skipping breakfast isn't about deprivation but about allowing your body to reset and utilize stored energy efficiently. This lifestyle adjustment has personally helped me reduce stubborn fat and maintain a clear, energized mind throughout the day.
