Bees.
Bees are a fascinating part of our ecosystem and essential pollinators during the summer months. I’ve noticed that when bees are particularly active, sometimes it feels like you’re fighting invisible air because they buzz so closely, you expect a sting but end up swatting at nothing. It’s a funny experience that many can relate to, especially if you find yourself flailing your hands in a panic only to realize the bee wasn’t actually near you. Having spent many summers outdoors, I’ve learned that bees generally aren’t aggressive unless provoked. Staying calm and moving slowly can prevent unintentional stings. Their presence means flowers and plants are thriving, which is a good sign for the environment and for us. Plus, watching bees work gives you appreciation for these tiny creatures’ role in food production. If you see yourself 'fighting air' because of bees, try to take a deep breath and observe their behavior instead of reacting immediately. This approach can reduce anxiety and make your time outside more enjoyable. Remember, bees are working hard, and their buzzing is just a natural part of summer’s soundtrack.
