After trying the YSL Loveshine Lip Balm in the shade '1B Pink Sunrise,' I noticed the sheer, subtle pink tint it provides is quite flattering for everyday wear. The balm’s lightweight texture glides on smoothly, offering a glossy finish without feeling sticky. However, the hydration it provides tends to last about six hours, after which reapplication is necessary to maintain softness. One thing that stood out is the luxurious packaging and brand prestige, which can justify the higher price point for some users. But when comparing it with other lip balms in the market that offer similar moisturizing benefits at a lower cost, the YSL Lip Balm may not be the best value for everyone. For those who enjoy a combination of lip care and subtle color with a hint of shine, this balm can be a delightful addition to their makeup routine. Its clear, sheer appearance allows it to be worn solo or layered under other lip products for extra shine. On the downside, its retail price of around $43, even with occasional discounts, feels steep considering the small 0.10 oz/3.1g size. In my experience, if budget is a concern, you might want to explore more affordable alternatives that provide adequate moisture and shine. Yet, if you value designer labels and enjoy the YSL aesthetic, this lip balm can enhance your beauty kit with a touch of luxury. Overall, it performs well as a hydrating lip gloss balm but may not be worth the money for those seeking high-value skincare at a lower price.
