Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Cream Review
I initially planned on making a follow up video of this #Kiehls Midnight Recovery Cream #Moisturizer but after using it for 2 straight weeks decided "nah this ain't for me." 🫣 It did a great job, but the product is SO THICK that it felt like I was smearing Crisco on my face every night before bed, and I just couldn't get on board with the texture. 😵💫😵💫 Other than that, it was an okay product. I definitely recommend it as a nighttime routine for dry skin girlies who don't mind a thick, difficult to spread product. 😇🥰
Overall 4️⃣/🔟✨ It's the $31 price tag that about killed me. ☠️☠️😵💫😖
Using Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Cream over a couple of weeks gave me a clearer picture of how it fits into a skincare regimen. The rich, omega-infused formula aims to restore skin overnight, which is great for those with dry or dehydrated skin. However, because the cream is quite thick—almost like applying a dense, buttery layer—you might find it heavy, especially if you prefer lightweight products. I found that this cream excels in deeply hydrating, leaving my skin feeling soft and nourished in the morning. For someone with dry skin, it's particularly beneficial during colder months when moisture retention is key. On the flip side, if you have oily or combination skin, the texture could feel too occlusive and potentially clog pores. The price point of $31 for 1.7 oz might be a bit steep compared to other moisturizers but consider that a little goes a long way due to its thickness. The scent is subtle and natural, avoiding any overpowering fragrance that could irritate sensitive skin. My personal tip is to apply a small amount and gently warm the cream between your fingers before spreading it, which can help with its initial heaviness. Also, pairing it with lighter serums underneath could improve absorption and comfort. In conclusion, while the Midnight Recovery Cream is not for everyone, especially if you dislike heavy textures, it's a solid option for those seeking intense overnight hydration. If you decide to try it, expecting a rich, omega-rich cloud cream experience will set realistic expectations for both texture and results.
