Squid Games Plushie! New Amigurumi

I'm so thrilled you guys liked my new Squid Game plushie! Making cartoon characters come to life with yarn is one of my favorite things to do. When I first watched Squid Game, I knew I had to try crocheting one of those iconic guards. Their simple yet striking design makes them perfect for amigurumi! For anyone interested in how to make a Squid Game plushie or any crochet cartoon character, let me share a few tips and insights from my own crafting journey. First off, yarn choice is crucial. For this project, I opted for a lovely bright pink yarn, and I often lean towards using chunky yarn because it gives the plushies such a soft, cuddly, and substantial feel. It also works up quicker, which is a bonus when you're excited to see your creation take shape! Don't be afraid to experiment with different yarn weights and fibers – acrylic is great for durability, while cotton gives a lovely stitch definition. Getting started with amigurumi might seem daunting, but it's really just a series of basic crochet stitches like single crochet, increases, and decreases, all worked in a spiral.
