Day 58 | should I or not 🥲

I’m still keeping my calories the same for now, but I've been thinking whether I should drop them slightly for the last push. Part of me wants to push harder and see how far I can go but another part of me is worried that being too restrictive will end up slipping back to old habits.

One thing I know though is that this cut has taught me that progress doesn’t come from starving but from consistency, patience, and perseverance.

✅ leg day

✅ 30 min cardio

... Read moreThroughout my weight loss journey, I've learned that the decision to drop calories even slightly can be a double-edged sword. From personal experience, maintaining the same calorie level while focusing on regular exercise—such as leg day and 30 minutes of cardio—can create steady progress without triggering a rebound to old eating habits. What really worked for me was focusing on nutrient-dense, low-calorie foods like smoky salmon and chicken salad without high-calorie nuts, matcha bread eaten at separate times, protein muffins as snacks, and hydrating with zero-calorie drinks like iced lattes made with skimmed milk. These choices helped keep me full and satisfied without feeling deprived. Also, having a small, controlled dessert like watermelon allowed me to limit extra calories without sacrificing the joy of a treat. This approach reinforced the idea that extreme restriction isn't necessary; rather, consistent, manageable habits help build long-term success. In the final stretch, it’s tempting to reduce calories aggressively, but I found that patience and perseverance create sustainable habits that last beyond the diet. Combining this with tracking macros and varied workouts keeps motivation high and progress steady. Taking care not to slip back into old habits by avoiding extremes has made all the difference in my continued transformation.
