16 weeks to keep a promise to myself
I’m back after taking a break from social media 💪 This time, I’m starting another 16-week cut for fat loss which is also a little birthday present to myself.🤍
Realistically, I did gain some weight back because of some slips and also struggled to get back on track. But I’m not starting from ground because I have built a strong foundation from my previous cut, like mindful eating, staying active, and tracking my steps.
This round, I’m committed to keeping the promises I make to myself, embracing the imperfections, and building a stronger, healthier version of me—a new identity rooted in self-love and consistency. Here’s to showing up for myself, progress over perfection, and proving that I can follow through on my own promises.
If you’re on a journey to self-growth too, let’s do this together!! 💛

Starting a personal fitness journey, especially one as long as 16 weeks, requires a deep commitment not just to goals but to yourself. What really helped me was embracing the mindset that setbacks are part of the process rather than failures. When I began my fat loss journey, mindful eating became a cornerstone practice—I learned to listen to my body's hunger cues and avoid emotional or mindless snacking. This simple awareness helped me regain control after weight gain due to occasional slips. Tracking daily steps and physical activity was another game changer. Instead of jumping into intense workouts immediately, I focused on maintaining consistent movement every day, whether it was walking more or engaging in enjoyable activities like dancing or stretching. This built an active lifestyle foundation that supported my fat loss without overwhelming me. One lesson I embraced fully is the value of showing up for yourself consistently, even on days you don’t feel your best. It’s about progress, not perfection. Setting realistic goals and forgiving imperfections helped me stay motivated. The motivational phrase I kept reminding myself was from an inspiring message: 'Step out of your comfort zone and face your fears. Growth takes place when you are challenged, not when you are comfortable.' This guided me through moments of doubt. If you're on a similar path, I encourage you to track your progress, honor your moments of strength, and remember that transformation is as much about mental growth as it is about physical change. This journey is not only about fat loss but developing a healthier, stronger version of yourself with self-love at its core. Let’s keep going together!
