I did Joe 😆

Moved with $400 all my stuff in 2 cars and came to Texas and got to business.

I moved to give my daughter a fair shout in a great environment. But I also grew and continue to grow into a great woman I'm really proud of.

Shouout to my parents for taking that drive with me. We drove almost 20hrs straight.

Nobody knew when or where I was leaving (best decision to do it that way). I'm just a single mom who knew change needed to be made for the future of me and my child's life.

P.S. The same people gone be there when you need to go back. So make a change and get out of your hometown. Do all you can do there.

Reflecting on my own experience, I remember the mix of fear and excitement as I packed my belongings and hit the road with very little money and a lot of hope. One thing that helped me immensely was not telling many people about my plans. This gave me the freedom to focus on my goals without interference or doubt from others. Driving through long hours with family support, like the almost 20-hour drive mentioned, can create strong bonds and help ease the transition. Starting over isn’t just about changing locations; it’s about shifting your mindset. When you leave behind what’s familiar—even if it’s tough—you open the door to new opportunities, environments, and personal development. For single parents, this can mean giving your child a chance to grow up somewhere with better resources, community, and experiences. The phrase "just thinking how far I've come in almost 2yrs after moving to TX" truly resonates because it highlights the importance of patience and perseverance. Change doesn’t happen overnight but seeing progress over time makes every challenge worthwhile. If you’re considering a similar move, here are a few tips based on real-life lessons: 1. Plan as much as you can beforehand but stay flexible for unexpected changes. 2. Keep your support system close, even if it’s just a few trusted family members or friends. 3. Focus on your personal growth as much as practical needs—skills, education, and mindset matter. 4. Remember that setbacks are part of the journey; resilience is key. Leaving your comfort zone means stepping into a new version of yourself. Embrace the unknown with courage and determination, because the best changes often come from the hardest starts.
