What’s In My Bag
My bag isn’t entirely full of art supplies but I am a full time tattoo artist and this is what’s in my bag on a daily basis. Some days there’s much crazier stuff, I once had a friend that needed duct tape and I said hold on, and pulled a roll out of my bag… I had to explain that I don’t always have duct tape in my bag, they just got lucky that day cause I was using it on a project and forgot to take it out. #whatsinmybag #artist #funny #dailyessentials
It's funny how much a bag can say about a person, especially when you're constantly on the go as a full-time tattoo artist. My bag isn't just a place for my daily essentials; it's practically a portable extension of my personality and my creative world. While you've seen the practical side like my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil – essential for sketching designs and keeping track of appointments – there’s so much more to the story of what I carry. You asked about unexpected items, and yes, that roll of duct tape is legendary among my friends! I'm not making ASMR content with it, but there's something oddly satisfying about the sound when you peel off a piece in a pinch, or the crinkle of a fresh roll. It’s certainly not your typical art supply, but it has saved the day more times than I can count, proving that sometimes the most mundane items have their own unique charm. Beyond the practical, my bag is also packed with things that inspire me and bring joy. My black bag itself, adorned with colorful cartoon characters, is a nod to my love for pop culture. It’s a reflection of how much inspiration I draw from various sources, including the vibrant world of animation and games. Speaking of which, it's always fascinating to see how clients are influenced by popular culture, sometimes bringing in references to beloved characters or iconic designs. While I don't specifically create 'Marc Jacobs tattoos,' I've definitely noticed how broader fashion trends and designer aesthetics often spark ideas. Whether it's the bold graphics or the playful spirit seen in high-fashion collections, these elements frequently translate into unique and expressive body art requests. It's a joy to interpret a client's vision, turning diverse inspirations, from runway to beloved animated heroes like Daxter or other iconic figures, into personalized ink. Then there are the little touches that make my day brighter, like my pink Hello Kitty case for earrings – because who says practical can't be adorable? Or my Powerpuff Girls tote bag, always ready for an unexpected grocery run or extra supplies. And yes, that pink stiletto-style knife? It's definitely an attention-grabber, but it's just one of those quirky things that makes my bag, well, my bag. My purple Kuromi pouch, filled with 'girly' essentials, adds another layer of personal touch. It's all part of creating a space that feels uniquely me, both in and out of the studio. Every item tells a story, making my bag a true daily companion on my artistic journey.

That's hardcore. I'd probably carry snacks instead. 🍬
