Hey spooky season lovers! So many of you asked about my FRENKEISTEIN BRIDE makeup, and I'm super excited to share some extra tips and tricks now that you've seen the product list. Getting this iconic monster bride look just right takes a bit of planning, but it's totally achievable even if you're not a pro! First things first, your base. For a classic monstrous pallor, you'll want a very light foundation or even a white cream makeup. I usually go for something like NYX Professional Makeup Can't Stop Won't Stop Full Coverage Foundation in a super light shade, or a dedicated white stage makeup. The key is to make your skin look stark and lifeless, so don't be afraid to go a few shades lighter than your natural tone. Set it well with a translucent powder to prevent creasing, especially if you're going to be wearing this look for hours. Next, let's talk eyes. The Frenkeistein's Bride often has deeply set, dramatic eyes. I love using dark eyeshadows – think deep greys, blacks, and even a touch of swampy green or purple for a bruised effect. Urban Decay's Naked palettes usually have some great dark matte shades that blend beautifully. Create a smoky eye, extending the shadow slightly outwards and downwards to give a hollowed-out appearance. Don't forget a thick winged eyeliner and, of course, some dramatic KISS Lashes to add that classic horror glam! A little white eyeliner on the waterline can also make your eyes pop against the dark shadows. Now for the signature stitches and scars! This is where the magic really happens. You'll need a good black cream eyeliner or face paint for the stitches. I find that a fine-tipped brush with Mehron Makeup Paradise AQ Paint works wonders for precision. Plan out where you want your scars – usually across the forehead, cheekbones, and neck. Draw thin, jagged lines for the scars first, then add smaller perpendicular lines across them to create the stitch effect. For a more dimensional look, you can use a stippling sponge with some red or purple cream makeup around the edges of the scars to simulate irritation or bruising. And yes, the 'sangre es falsa' (fake blood) is crucial here! A few strategically placed drips from a good quality fake blood, like those from Cosmetic Factory, can really sell the gruesome effect without being too messy. Finally, lips and hair. For the lips, a pale, almost nude shade can work, or you can go for a dark, vampy red or even black if you want a more gothic twist. I often use a L'Oréal Paris USA lipstick in a deep berry or brown shade. For hair, the iconic white streaks and wild, voluminous look are a must. If you have dark hair, a temporary white hairspray or wig is your best friend. Tease it up for maximum volume! Remember, the goal is to look both monstrous and strangely elegant. Don't be afraid to experiment with different shades and techniques to make your FRENKEISTEIN BRIDE unique. Have fun with it, and prepare to scare (and impress) everyone!
