Summer Internship

The South Carolina State 1890 Research and Extension Program is an excellent platform for interns to understand diverse sectors such as community development and nutrition education. While at the farm in Bamberg, SC, interns might engage in hands-on activities, like assisting in planting and harvesting crops, participating in community outreach, or learning about sustainable farming practices. My daily routine included tending to ‘tomato trees’ and exploring the intricacies of farm life. Besides practical tasks, gaining insights into research projects and education initiatives can greatly enhance one’s learning experience.
