Hey everyone! I know we're always on the hunt for that perfect sunscreen, and today I wanted to dive deep into one that constantly pops up in conversations: Supergoop! Given that so many of you are curious about its performance, especially its waterproof claims and overall rating, I decided to share my honest experience. I've been using various Supergoop sunscreens for a while now, and my current favorite (which I believe my original post was hinting at!) is their Unseen Sunscreen. The first thing that blew me away when I first tried Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen was its texture. It's truly invisible, like a silky primer. Seriously, no white cast whatsoever, which is a HUGE win for my skin tone. It glides on effortlessly and leaves a velvety-matte finish that’s perfect for wearing under makeup or even on its own for a natural look. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy, which is a common complaint with many high-SPF sunscreens. Personally, I give its application and feel a solid 5/5 stars. Now, let's talk about the big question: is Supergoop waterproof? This is where things get interesting. Supergoop often markets its products as 'water-resistant,' which isn't quite the same as fully waterproof. I put my Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen to the test during a particularly sweaty outdoor workout and a day at the beach. After about 40 minutes of intense sweating, I did notice some slight streaking around my hairline, but overall, it held up remarkably well on my face. When I went for a quick swim, following the reapplication guidelines (which is crucial for any water-resistant sunscreen!), it provided solid protection. It's labeled as water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, and in my experience, that claim holds true. For prolonged water exposure or heavy sweating, reapplication is non-negotiable, but it definitely offers reliable protection under normal sweaty conditions. So, while I wouldn't call it 'fully waterproof' in the dive-all-day sense, it's certainly highly effective for everyday activities and light water exposure. Overall, my Supergoop sunscreen rating is high, especially for the Unseen formula. Pros: Invisible, no white cast Smooth, primer-like texture Great under makeup Effective broad-spectrum SPF protection Good for daily wear and light water resistance Cons: Can be a bit pricey Requires consistent reapplication, especially after sweating or swimming, as it's water-resistant, not fully waterproof. So, is Supergoop worth it? For me, absolutely! It’s become a staple in my routine. If you're looking for a high-quality, comfortable daily sunscreen that offers good water resistance for everyday activities, I highly recommend giving Supergoop a try.
