... Read moreYou guys know how much I adore my simmer pots, especially for those deep cleansing moments! There's nothing quite like a cleansing simmer pot to align my energy, particularly as we head into a new year or transition into a new space. It’s not just a beautiful aroma; it’s a powerful ritual to clear out any lingering negative vibes and set a fresh, positive tone for your home. Many of us feel the need to 'reset' our spaces, whether it's after a tough week, welcoming a new season, or moving into a new home. A cleansing simmer pot is my go-to for clearing stagnant or unwanted energy, creating a protective barrier, and inviting in good fortune. It’s an easy, natural way to add spiritual cleansing and protection to your daily routine, making your home feel truly yours. So, what goes into a magical cleansing pot? The beauty is in its simplicity and customization! While the original post was short and sweet, I wanted to share some of my favorite ingredients and their spiritual meanings to help you craft your perfect blend for cleansing and protection: Lemons: The star of many cleansing pots! Lemon isn't just for a bright, fresh scent; spiritually, it's potent for purification, cutting through negativity, and bringing sunshine into your space. Some even believe the act of burning lemon on the stove (or simmering it, in our case!) has deep spiritual meaning for clearing and renewal. It truly helps to banish that 'burnt food' smell or any other lingering unpleasantness, replacing it with pure, clean energy. Cinnamon Sticks: Beyond its comforting scent, cinnamon is fantastic for protection, drawing in prosperity, and boosting spiritual energy. It's a wonderful addition for a cozy, protected home, especially when you want to feel safeguarded from external influences. Rosemary: A powerful herb for purification, protection, and memory. I love adding a few sprigs for an extra layer of cleansing, especially if I feel my home needs a thorough energetic reset. Bay Leaves: Known for granting wishes and offering protection. Write an intention on a leaf before adding it to your pot – perhaps for peace, health, or prosperity! Orange Peels: For joy, abundance, and positive energy. A great way to uplift the mood of your home and invite a feeling of 'sunlight' and happiness, even on a cloudy day. Cloves: For protection against negative influences and attracting good luck. They add a lovely, warm depth to the aroma. If you're looking to cleanse a new home, a simmer pot is incredibly effective. Before moving in or right after, let a pot simmer with lemons, rosemary, and a pinch of sea salt (if you have it!) to banish old energies and consecrate your new sanctuary. It helps to literally 'align your energy' with your new surroundings, making it feel like a truly fresh start. For general protection, focus on ingredients like cinnamon, rosemary, and bay leaves. As the steam fills the air, you can even visualize a protective bubble forming around your home, keeping unwanted energies out and good vibes in. It’s a wonderful daily ritual to maintain a harmonious 'home care' routine. Tips for your cleansing simmer pot: Always use fresh ingredients when possible for the strongest scent and energetic properties. Keep the water level topped up to prevent burning and ensure a continuous aroma. Most importantly, set your intention! What energy do you want to invite in? What do you want to release? Your focus amplifies the pot's power. Creating a cleansing simmer pot is such a beautiful, mindful practice. It's a simple yet profound way to take care of your home and your soul. Give it a try, and let me know how it makes your space feel! ✨
