Don’t do what I did… telling you how to NOT use the new Milk Makeup Ph adjusting jelly tint stick

I love the jelly tint sticks and honestly use them daily— I’m a huge fan of how long lasting these are. They are a true stain and once you figure out the technique that works best for you it becomes a staple.

The colors are gorgeous and these truly last on my lips and cheeks all day long

So obviously, I was ecstatic to see that a new shade was introduced and ripped this package open immediately without learning much about it .

So learn through my experience because I think this is a really beautiful product, but it is not as straightforward as I was expecting it to be.

The pH dusting color tint takes about two minutes to fully bloom and show up. This is fun and interesting, but also makes it difficult to know if you have put too much on and or if you have put it in all the places that you would like it to be.

Or in my case — you realize you have overapplied and now look like a sunburned tomato.🍅

I absolutely recommend applying this with a brush instead of directly on the cheek area.

I can’t say I am obsessed with this, but know that all of the people in the world that are patient and enjoy reading directions before diving in will have more success with this than I did.

I often learned by trial in error, so hopefully this helps someone else lol

... Read moreOkay, so like many of you, I was super excited to get my hands on the new Milk Makeup pH adjusting jelly tint stick, especially after falling head over heels for their other jelly tints. But let me tell you, this one, specifically the shade 'pHreeze,' is a whole different beast! My original post shared my hilarious (and slightly embarrassing) 'sunburned tomato' ordeal, but honestly, once you get the hang of it, this tint is a real gem. First off, let's talk about the magic: it literally goes on clear! This is the part that tricks everyone, including me. You swipe it on, and nothing happens immediately. That’s because it takes about two minutes for the color to show up. It’s a pH-reactive product, meaning it adapts to your skin's unique pH to create a custom flush. How cool is that? But, as I painfully discovered, if you're not a patient person, you might keep adding more, thinking it's not working, only to end up with a much bolder look than intended. That's why I can't stress enough: patience is key! Give it time to bloom. Beyond the initial application blunder, I've found some fantastic ways to make this 'cutie little brush' technique truly shine. For cheeks, after applying a tiny bit with a brush and waiting for the color to develop, I like to blend it out gently with my fingers or a beauty sponge for a seamless finish. It truly gives you that 'just came in from the cold' natural flush, not a harsh stripe. For lips, I apply it directly, but only one or two swipes, then blot gently. The natural stain effect is gorgeous and lasts for hours, even through drinks and light meals. It's amazing how long-lasting these tints are once they set! Another thing I adore about this pH stick is its versatility. It's not just for cheeks! I love using it to add a subtle pop of color to my eyelids for a monochromatic look. Just a tiny dab blended out quickly with a finger gives a fresh, dewy hint of color. Because it adjusts to your pH, it always looks natural and harmonious. So, while my first experience was a bit of a learning curve, I've truly come to appreciate the Milk Makeup pH adjusting jelly tint stick. It might require a bit more attention than your average cheek tint, but the personalized, long-lasting, and natural-looking flush it delivers is absolutely worth it. If you're someone who loves a subtle, customizable pop of color and doesn't mind a little experimentation, this product could become your new favorite. Just remember my golden rule: apply with a brush, be patient, and embrace the bloom!
